This Weeks Inspiration, Florence + The Machine

Wow! talk about a strong, inspirational, beautiful woman! Florence's music has warmed my soul for quite a long time now. Her voice sends a vibrating chill through my heart and vibrant colors to my mind. I am not the only one who loves Florence. A contestant on the t.v show "The Voice" a spunk singer (Vicci Martinez, who I very well admired) covered F+M's song "Dog Days Are Over." Oh, how I envy those fabulous pipes! I love Florence for many reasons for one her hair looks like fire, her voice sounds like angels, and she is a strong woman.
There is nothing this feminist teen loves more than a strong female role model.

Dance Day 2011 July 30

Its very important to stay active and we can all be active together on July 30 (2011 Dance Day at selected Six Flag Parks.) "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographers set up video routines for you to learn on the SYTYCD blog or on Youtube. I am not able of going to Six Flags this year but I am having a fun time learning how to "Shuffle" from my cousin. If you can make it then I think you should!

Cross Your Fingers... I Go Mooky!

I have been a long time fan of mookychick.co.uk and now I might have a small chance of writing a article for them! I sent in a small sample article about the books of Keri Smith. Now I am waiting for a reply. If anyone even reads this blog please cross your fingers!

My Birthday Challenge

Have you ever seen those awesome videos where someone takes a picture of them self everyday for a long period of time and cram them all into one video? Well on the 31st of August I will be starting this challenge! Truly, those videos are amazing! I just hope mine comes out half as well.

This is an experiment to see how much we really change!

Below is a link to one of the girls who did this type of experiment.

This Weeks Inspiration: Keri Smith

This weeks inspiration is Artist/Write ,Keri Smith. Highly noted for her books "Wreck This Book," "This is not a Book," and "Mess."

I am a huge fan of her books , in fact I am getting her box-set very soon! Her books have helped change my life and the way I view it. Before I discovered Smith's books it was very difficult for me to let go and have fun without feeling insecure.
Her books are different from anything I have ever seen.

"Wreck This Book" allows you to tare up the book in hundreds of exciting ways. Practice this book with your kids, friends or even by yourself. (This helped my with letting go and having fun.)

"This is not a Book" Helps you to release your inner child, think outside the box, color outside the lines, and step out of your comfort zone.

"Mess" breaks you from every perfect thing you have had drilled in your head. Well, guess what! No more making things perfect, no more fear of making a mess, no more fear of self.

One more thing I need to add is that this book is a great deal of therapy for the restless soul.
